The Community Development Hub and Dalry Sports club are excited to bring back the "Skirt the Skeith" 12k road run this year making it an annual event . It will be held on Sunday the 25th of June 2023 at 10am starting and finishing at the Dalry Public Park. We could not hold this event without the generosity of our sponsors who support us:

- DSM are our main sponsors giving a prize to all the runners

- Irvine Bakery are producing cakes for the goodie bags

- Ryeside Garage are giving the cash prizes for the winners

- Stalkers Butchers have donated a burger for all runners

- Balmore Antiques are providing the bottles of water.

- COOP have given us compostable bags to use as the goodie bag

2022

 

We held our inaugural 12 k run "Skirt the Skeith" on Sunday the 26th of June 2022 starting and finishing in Dalry Public Park.  We worked in partnership with Dalry Sports Club and through the generosity of our sponsors we were able to provide refreshments and prizes to our participants.

It rained from the heavens but the runners told us it was a great day. 

The volunteers and marshals were praised for their banter and encouragement even though they stood for an hour in the rain ensuring the safety of our runners around the hilly route.

It was a great day and due to its success we will be making it a yearly event. We will keep you updated through the website and our facebook page and if you would like to volunteer on the day please get in touch with us.

PS our winner was local lad Craig Houston who has set the course record at 46.20mins. If you think you can beat it sign up for next year !
